Catubig

Catubig is a 4th class municipality in the province of Northern Samar, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 29,433 people in 5,689 households.

History

During the Philippine-American War, Catubig was the scene of a battle between the Samarnons and the Americans known as the Siege of Catubig. The Siege of Catubig was fought on April 15, 1901 and lasted four days.

Catubig is politically subdivided into 47 barangays.
